A Small Gathering at the Eklutna Tailrace

Here fishermen line the confluence of the Eklutna Tailrace and the Knik River. Smolts dropped into the tailrace of the last few years are returning up the Knik River and producing strong runs of King and Silver Salmon. And the best thing is that it is only going to get better.

But these runs are drawing crowds. This crowd is nothing compared to the heights of the runs, and the future will probably see even bigger crowds.
