The New Parking Lot at the Eklutna Tailrace

One of the biggest challenges that the ADF&G had to overcome was parking for everyone who would be drawn to the fishery at the tailrace. Parking along the Old Seward Highway would have led to a dangerous combination of pedestrians and traffic. The solution was this 77 slot, day-use parking lot. The best part, is that there are no fees for parking here.

Of course, in the coming years when the returning Kings start averaging 40+ pounds, you might want to arrive early to make sure you get a spot.
