Almost Combat Fishing on Ship Creek Anchorage Alaska

One Last Shot of Ship Creek

A Final view of fishing on Ship Creek. For those of you who have not seen or experienced combat fishing, you may think that this stretch of Ship Creek is crowded. But it's not even close to the potential crowds that can descend on Ship Creek during the height of the runs. In some ways, a fishing trip to Alaska would not be complete without having a shot at a combat fishing hole. It is an experience, although sometimes a frustrating experience.

All in all, Ship Creek is not the greatest Alaskan fishing destination. It definitely isn't isolated or a pristine Alaskan wilderness. But, there may just be a place for it on your itinerary. Use it to put some fishing into your business trip or work day. Or check into a local hotel or bed and breakfast and let the family sleep in or swim while you put in a few casts. Check out our Directions and Facilities page for suggestions.
