The well traveled mud of Ship Creek Anchorage Alaska

Banks of Ship Creek

Here is another view of the muddy banks of Ship Creek. The mud is always a threat to your fishing trip either by instantly staining your favorite hat or stealing the boots right off your feet. Really though, be careful about walking on the tidal mud flats, their quicksand like qualities along with swift tides are a dangerous combination.

Here the banks are well travelled. For easier walking, there are lots of sidewalks, paths, and roads that parallel Ship Creek and give easy access to the entire length of the stream. For other considerations while fishing Ship Creek, check out our Dangers of Ship Creek Pages.
